Description

The railed enclosure within the churchyard of the Church of St. Mary in Lydiard Park dates from the early to mid-19th century. It forms a parallelogram shape and is made of wrought iron set on a stone kerb. The enclosure features gates on the east and west sides, with railings that alternate between spear head and javelin pointed square sections. The corners are supported by thicker stanchions that have acorn heads. There are no upstanding features within the enclosure.
