Description

Patched and restored sundial, incorporating various earlier 17th century fragments, heavily restored probably circa 1890. Octagonal base and capital of different date to earlier octagonal, scallop detail base, now cemented to 19th century shaft (deeply undercut angle hollows/attached shafts on cusped base: geometrical). Original dial and gnomon missing;

replaced in 1983 with early 18th century copper dial and gnomon.
