Description
The sundial at Carberry House on Durie Street in Leven is likely from the 17th century, restored in 1889, and relocated to its current site in 1982. It is a three-stage, red sandstone, obelisk-type sundial featuring hollow-faceted dials that are significantly eroded. The sundial stands on a modern stepped three-tier rectangular base, leading up to a shaft made of five cubes that have hollowed-out symbols. The second stage has a capital with reclining, upright, and procline dials, topped by an incised tapering finial.
