Description

The Former Operations Block at RAF Leuchars, built around 1938-39, is a single-storey, largely rectangular brick building with a flat roof, now serving as a communications building. It features a very small internal courtyard and has an original concrete roof that has been topped with later brick courses. The exterior includes some multi-pane metal windows and cast iron rainwater goods.

Surrounding the building is a tall concrete wall, complemented by an angled earth and turf bank. There are concrete angled entrances to the south and east.

Inside, as partially observed in 2008, the courtyard includes a small document incinerator.
