Description
This is an 18th-century cottage located at 7 Main Street, Leuchars, known as Wayside. It is a small, single-storey building with a two-window front and a central door. The exterior is constructed of painted rubble with quoins highlighting the front elevation, and retains its original sash windows. It is roofed with slate.
The cottage possesses group value owing to its proximity to the Romanesque portion of the church. Several surrounding structures (formerly items 454, 457-60, and 463) have been demolished or reconstructed. The listing considers the cottage as a whole, encompassing both its exterior and interior features, and reflects its significance within this group setting.
