Rachel's Inn, 2 Main Street, Leuchars

Rachel's Inn, at 2 Main Street, Leuchars, is a late 18th-century building, originally part of an unfinished row. It is constructed of droved rubble with margins, and features original glazing in the windows, as well as a rectangular fanlight above the door. The rear gable has a crowstepped design, and a lamp bracket is affixed to the door. The roof is now covered with modern felt slates.

The building holds special group value due to its immediate proximity to the Romanesque portion of the church. Several nearby structures, formerly listed as items 454, 457-60, and 463, have since been demolished or reconstructed.

The listing reflects the building's group interest, meaning it applies to both the interior and exterior, as appropriate. It was re-categorised as a Category C(S) building in 2006, having previously held a B listing.
