Description
Brodsworth First and Middle School is a village school built in the mid-19th century. It features roughcast walls and a Welsh slate roof. The building has a gabled, two-storey central block flanked by original single-storey, three-bay wings, with a taller addition on the left side. The design includes Gothic Revival elements, such as double-chamfered, multiple-light windows with pointed-arched heads, which now have casements with horizontal glazing bars. The central gabled projection has a three-light window below a two-light window on the first floor, and it is adorned with a plain bargeboard. The right wing contains a 20th-century door beneath a pointed arch and two three-light windows beyond. The left wing has a blocked pointed doorway with three three-light windows to its left. At the rear, a two-storey section projects and includes a lower 20th-century addition, along with another addition to the rear of the left wing.
