Description
The building is a dovecote and attached outbuilding located immediately to the west of West End Cottage, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of red brick with an English garden wall bond and features stone slate eaves courses beneath a pantile roof. The dovecote is three stories high and single-cell in design, positioned to the left of a broader two-story outbuilding. The dovecote has garage doors inserted beneath a segmentally-arched doorway on the first floor, with a bricked opening on the second floor. The outbuilding features a segmentally-arched doorway on the left, flanked by two decorative vents, and a square-headed doorway on the right. There is a central boarded door leading to the first floor and a gable window on the right side. Both sections of the building have cogged eaves and shaped kneelers supporting the ashlar gable copings. The attached lean-to buildings are not considered of special interest.
