Description
Fenwick Hall is a large farmhouse built around 1800. It features roughcast red brick with stone slate eaves courses and a pantile roof, designed in a U-shaped plan. The entrance front has two storeys and an attic, with three bays. The central bay has a recess containing a four-panel door with an overlight, beneath a continuous floor band. The first-floor window opening in the third bay is blind. The building has a deep eaves band and a hipped roof, with brick ridge stacks on both wings to the left and right of the main ridge. The rear of the house has four bays similar to the front, which are lit by four-pane sash windows with stone sills and flat brick arches. Inside, there are remains of the original staircases leading to the first floor and attic. The farmhouse is built on a moated medieval site but does not appear to incorporate any earlier structures.
