Description
Topham Ferry Bridge is a bridge built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in English garden wall bond with stone copings. The bridge features a single span that carries a track over the River Went. Its segmental arch slopes back and is set in a concave curve. There is a single-brick band above that connects to projecting, square end piers. The parapet wall has weathered ashlar copings. This bridge is an unaltered example from its period, although it was noted to be in poor condition at the time of the resurvey.
