Description
The building is a dovecote that has been converted into a garage, with an attached outbuilding, located to the southwest of Ulley Hall. It dates from the early 18th century and is constructed from coursed, squared sandstone rubble, featuring stone slate eaves courses beneath pantile roofs. The dovecote is two stories tall and consists of a single cell, while the outbuilding is one story high. Notable architectural features include large quoins and an inserted garage door on the left side, with external stone steps that rise from the right to a boarded door beneath an ashlar band. The structure has shaped kneelers and gable copings. The outbuilding includes a casement window with glazing bars and three iron stanchions in an architrave, along with gable copings on the right side. On the left side of the dovecote, there are two inserted casement windows below a band, and a blocked square-faced mullioned window above. The right side features a band that rises over the ridge of the outbuilding. This building is included for its group value with Ulley Hall. A stone porch that links the outbuilding to Ulley Hall is not considered of special interest.
