Description
The archway and window fragments form a gateway in the east wall of Cannon Hall gardens, located approximately 50 metres north-east of the ornamental pool. These fragments date from the 15th or 16th century and were incorporated into the gardens in the late 19th century. They include part of a Perpendicular window with three lights, a small arched window, and an arched doorway featuring a moulded surround. It is believed that these fragments originated from the churches in Silkstone or Cawthorne after their restoration in the 19th century.
