Description
Tower Cottage is a Gothic folly that has been converted into a house, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared stone with quoins and features a pyramidal Welsh slate roof on the tower. The building consists of a two-storey tower flanked by single-storey wings on either side. The central Gothic archway has an impost band and is filled with glazing. Each face of the tower displays a quatrefoil design. The wings are slightly set back, with the right wing featuring a cross-shaped slit window, while the left has small four-pane sash windows. There is a lower addition on the left, which is in keeping with the original design. The structure is topped with crenellated parapets that include ashlar bands.
