Description
This milestone, located approximately 300 metres north of Flouch Inn, dates from the late 19th century. It features a cast-iron triangular front with a rounded top, mounted on a stone post. The raised letters on the milestone indicate directions and distances: "NEW MILL DISTRICT ROAD THURLSTONE HUDDERSFIELD 11 ½ MILES 15 MILES HOLMFIRTH 6 MILES."
