Public house, now house. Probably mid C18 with C19 and C20 alteration. Front part orange-red brick, part orange brick, in English garden-wall bond, with brick dentil cornice; timber doorcase; rear orange-brown brick in stretcher bond; pantile roof with rebuilt brick stacks. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with cellars; 3-window front. Cellar openings flank front steps. Double flight of steps leads to right of centre entrance with Tuscan doorcase of engaged fluted columns and plain cornice: door is of 6 raised and fielded panels beneath lozenge patterned overlight. Small 2-pane sash window inserted in altered doorway to left. 12-pane sash window to right, and far right part-glazed door beneath flat brick arch behind yard wall. Remaining windows are 4-pane sashes with painted stone sills, those on ground floor with segmental arches of soldier bricks, painted lintels on first floor. INTERIOR: not inspected.
