Pair of houses; now shop and flats. 1845 incorporating C18 brickwork at rear. No.2 of painted brick with timber shopfront and slate hipped roof; No.4 of orange-grey brick in English garden-wall bond, hipped pantile roof and brick stacks; moulded and modillioned timber cornice to both. Rear of No.4 orange-red brick in English garden-wall bond. No.2 has EXTERIOR: 2-storey 2-window front; No.4 has 3-storey 2-window front, the right part quadrant on plan, the left incorporating through carriageway. No.2 has shopfront of incised panel jambs with plate glass window and glazed door; 1-pane sash windows with painted stone sills on first floor. No.4 has door of 6 raised and fielded panels beneath divided overlight in quadrant wall; carriage arch has flat lintel; first and second floor windows are 12-pane sashes with painted stone sills and flat arches of brick, those on second floor masked by cornice.
