Description

Fleetgate Post Office is an 18th-century building that stands two storeys high, constructed of brick with a steep pantile roof featuring two brick stacks and a diagonal-set brick eaves cornice. The first floor has two canted windows. The ground floor includes a shop front with plain pilasters and a half-glazed door, along with a passage door to the left. To the right, the shop front is adorned with pilasters, an entablature, and a modillion cornice, as well as large glazing bars. Fleetgate Post Office is part of a group that includes Nos 65 to 73 (odd), Nos 77 to 85 (odd), and Fleetgate House.
