Description
Fleetgate House is a mid-19th century building located on the west side of Fleetgate. It is two storeys tall, constructed of red brick on a stone plinth, and features a new roof. The building has painted brick quoins and three windows with rusticated lintels that include keystones and no glazing bars. The ground floor has two canted bays topped with a dentil cornice. The entrance features a doorway with attached Tuscan columns, an entablature, and a dentil cornice, along with panelled reveals and soffit. The main door consists of six carved panels and is topped by a rectangular fanlight, with access provided by three steps. The left-hand section of the building includes one round-headed window and a door with a semi-circular fanlight. Fleetgate House is noted for being part of a group that includes Nos 65 to 73 (odd), Fleetgate Post Office, and Nos 77 to 85 (odd).
