Description
No. 65 Fleetgate is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys high, constructed from painted brick with a pantile roof and a single brick chimney stack. The building features a diagonal-set brick eaves cornice and has two windows with brick voussoirs and modern glazing. The ground floor has a mid-19th-century shop front with plain pilasters. There is a doorway with brick voussoirs, a modern door, and a narrow rectangular fanlight. To the right, there is a segmental passage archway. The gable ends display tumbled brickwork. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 65 to 73 (odd) Fleetgate, the Post Office, Nos. 77 to 85 (odd), and Fleetgate House.
