Description

No. 9 Eastgate is a late 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall, constructed of brick with a pantile roof and brick stacks at the gable ends. It features a diagonal brick eaves cornice. On the first floor, there are two windows with segmental heads and stone keystones, which do not have glazing bars. The ground floor has one similar window along with a small 19th-century shop window in an old opening. The entrance is marked by a wooden doorcase that has a cornice. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 1-13 (odd) and No. 15.
