Description

Number 2 Eastgate is a late 18th-century building that stands two storeys tall, constructed of brick with a double-span roof covered in pantiles. It features a diagonal brick eaves cornice. The building has two windows on the upper floor, which are flush framed, hung sashes with glazing bars. On the ground floor, there is one window with a segmental arch above it. The entrance door consists of six fielded panels and is set within a doorway that has stone pilasters and a flat hood supported by consoles. Additionally, there are two foot scrapers located in the plinth blocks. Number 2 Eastgate is part of a group that includes numbers 2 to 8 (even) and Carre's Hospital.
