Description

SWINEFLEET CHURCH LANE HUMBERSIDE BOOTHFERRY 5262 SE 72 SE (east side) 5/96 Shrublands - II House. Early-mid C19. Yellow/brown brick with Welsh slate roof. Square on plan, with 2-room central entrance-hall west front, 2-room wing to rear right with side entrance hall, and outshut in angle containing stairhall. 2 storeys, 3 bays; symmetrical. Plinth. Painted ashlar Tuscan porch with half-columns, flat hood and blocking course, over panelled door beneath moulded cornice and plain overlight in reveal. 12-pane sashes in reveals with sills and channelled and keyed cambered wedge lintels. Plain wooden eaves board. Hipped roof. Axial stack to left, end stack to right. Similar windows and C20 panelled door to right return. Tall round-headed stair window to left return with Gothick glazing beneath keyed arch with raised imposts. Interior. Open well staircase with ramped handrail, column balusters and turned newel; round-arched openings with scrolled brackets to halls; moulded cornices to main rooms.
