Description

Ash Tree Farmhouse is an early to mid-19th century farmhouse located off Swinefleet Road, near Goole Fields. It is a double-depth, two-room plan farmhouse with a central entrance hall facing south. The building is constructed of brick with a Welsh slate roof. It is two storeys high with an attic, and has a symmetrical three-bay design. The front door is set within a doorcase featuring ribbed pilasters that support a plain entablature and hood, with a modern half-glazed door and overlight within an architrave and reveal. Windows have sills and channelled stucco cambered arches with fluted keys; modern glazing is present on the ground floor, while the first floor has 16-pane sash windows in reveals. Stone-coped gables with shaped kneelers top the building. End stacks are also present. Single four-pane sliding sashes are set into the returns at attic level. The interior has not been investigated. Adjoining outbuildings to the left are of no particular interest.
