Description
The threshing barn at Bridge Farm is a late 18th-century structure that forms the central section of the east range of buildings at the farm. It has undergone restoration in the 20th century. The barn is constructed of brick in English garden wall bond and features a corrugated iron roof. It stands two storeys high and consists of five bays. The central entrance bay is advanced and includes a board door set beneath a timber lintel. On either side of the entrance, there are two rows of paired rectangular ventilation shafts. To the right, there is a segmental-arched pitching door that provides access to the first floor. The gable has coping, and there is a worn shaped kneeler on the left and a replacement brick kneeler on the right. The roof structure has been rebuilt in the 20th century. This barn is listed as part of an unusually unaltered and complete complex of farm buildings.
