Description

The shelter shed at Bridge Farm is a Grade II listed building dating from the late 18th century. It forms the north range of the farm buildings and is constructed of brick in English garden wall bond, topped with a roof of pantiles and concrete tiles. The structure is single storey and consists of 10 bays, featuring an open design with a solid rear wall and round piers at the front. The roof is supported by a machine cut king-post. There are 20th-century extensions added to the front at the right end, but these are not considered of special interest. The shelter shed is noted for being part of an unusually unaltered and complete complex of farm buildings.
