7/18 Gravestone approximately 25 metres north of north porch of Church of St Helen

GV II Gravestone. 1768. Ashlar slab. Approximately 1.3 metres in height and 0.75 metres in width, with carved upper edge. Incised inscription beneath incised round arch with keystone and imposts reads:-

'Here lieth below this stone interr'd the body of the Revd Mr William

Burges MA late Vic of Wressle and Curate of this place who died August the In 23rd 1768 Aged 66 Years. Hoc Signo Vinces
