Description

Dunstall House is a late 18th-century house located on the south side of High Street, Barby-on-the-Marsh. Constructed of brick in an English garden wall bond, it features stone dressings and a French tile roof. The house has a central entry with a cross wing to the rear, and presents a symmetrical facade of three bays over two storeys. The ground floor has a 20th-century six-fielded-panel door with an overlight; the windows are 20th-century casements with glazing bars set within the original window openings. Keyed wedge lintels are present above all windows. A whitewashed three-course first-floor band and a dentilled eaves course are notable features, as is the gable coping with shaped kneelers and rebuilt end stacks. The interior was not inspected, and is reportedly lacking original features.
