Description

No. 20 Fairview Road is a house built around 1850. It is constructed of brick and has a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has a two-unit plan with a central entrance. The entrance features a part-glazed door set within a lattice-work porch, and it is flanked by 12-pane sash windows. On the first floor, there are three similar sash windows. The eaves project and are supported by brackets, and there are chimney stacks at the end walls. The property is noted in a plan of Birkenhead and Claughton cum Grange from 1858 by Mills and Fletcher, Surveyors.
