Description
Hogshill Farm is a house that possibly dates back to around 1600, although it has undergone many alterations since then. The building is constructed from cement-rendered brick and topped with a 20th-century pantile roof. It is one storey high with an attic. The south facade, which faces the former farm yard, features three bays with small-paned casement windows and two horizontally sliding sash windows. There is a central stack on the ridge and a gable-end stack. A central gabled porch with an elliptical-headed entrance adds to its character. The north facade, which faces the street, includes segmental-headed small-paned casements and raking dormers. Inside, the ground floor retains original close-set ceiling beams.
