Description

The stone cross in the center of the roundabout at Formby Cross Green dates from around 1879. It is made of stone and features a base that rests on three square steps, which is octagonal in shape and has broaches at the angles. The shaft of the cross is chamfered and topped with a moulded cap. The arms of the cross display cusping and ogival terminals. This cross was erected after the original cross was removed to the churchyard of St. Luke's Church.
