Description

ALTCAR LIVERPOOL ROAD SD 30 NW (west side) 3/9 Lovelady's Farmhouse G.V. II Farmhouse. Probably late C18. Brick with slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Windows and central entrance have gauged brick cambered arches. Windows have 3-light casements; narrower blind window above entrance is painted. Gable-end stack and stack to rear of ridge. Right return has extension under lean-to roof, with loading door to front. The farmhouse forms a good group with barn and stables (q.v.).
