Description

MELLING ROCK LANE SD 30 SE (north-east side) 7/115 Retaining wall to churchyard of St. Thomas' (q.v.) (formerly listed with 11.10.68 cross base) G.V. II Wall extending round 4 sides of graveyard, that to road approx. 47 m in length and includes lych gate. Date uncertain but stone on southside dated 1676; lych gate is C19. Stone, that part to road is based on bedrock.
