Description

No. 27 Holmefield Road is a house built in the mid-19th century, designed in the cottage orné style. It is constructed of stucco and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high with a basement and features three bays, with the central bay projecting under a shaped gable. The windows are casements, and the central bay includes a canted bay window topped with a hipped slate roof. The third bay has a ground floor niche, and the gable is flanked by projecting dog's heads, with a stag's head at the apex. The right side of the house has a niche with a figure above a 20th-century glazed porch. The shaped gable also features dog's heads and a boar's head at the top. There is a central stack, and a statue in the front garden likely originally stood in front of the niche.
