Description

The drinking fountain, dated 1887, is located in the wall of the Knotty Ash Community Centre on East Prescot Road. It is made of stone and features a segmental-headed recess with a rusticated surround. The fountain has a projecting basin, and there is an inscription in the niche that reads: "WATER'S BEST/ E.T 1887." Additionally, there is a segmental recess below for a dog bowl.
