Description

This drinking water fountain, dating from around 1860 and restored in 1994, is made of ashlar stone. It features a central rectangular pillar topped with a pedimented coping, which includes a niche that houses a tap and a marble basin that projects outward. Above the niche, the inscription reads 'pro bono publico'. On either side of the pillar, there are lower flanking walls, and to the right, there is a cast-iron overflow pipe. The fountain is bordered by cast-iron railings that have decorative scrollwork panels on each side.
