Description

Buxton House is a house dating to around 1840, located on Buxton Road in Leek. The house is constructed of brick with a slate roof. The exterior presents a two-storey, three-window facade with a central entrance. The central doorway is framed by a plain, moulded wood architrave and features a traceried fanlight. The windows are 16-pane sash windows with flat-arched stone surrounds and stone cills. A full-height stair-window is present in the left-hand return. The eaves overhang and gable end stacks are visible. The interior of the house was not inspected. The group value context of this listing is that the building contributes to the character of the surrounding area.
