Description

The Jubilee Fountain is a drinking fountain dated 1897, constructed from local sandstone ashlar. It stands on a chamfered plinth and features an upright round-headed slab topped with a cross that bears the date 1897, with short arms extending from each side. The front of the fountain has a round-backed, round-headed niche with a chamfered surround. The bowl of the fountain projects in a semi-circle. Inside the niche, there is a lead pipe at the back, although it no longer has a tap. An inscription around the top of the niche reads "Jubilee Drinking Fountain."
