Description
No. 35 North Drive is a house built in the 1860s. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys and a basement, with three bays. There is a band above the ground floor and a sill band at the first floor, along with top bracketed eaves. The windows are sashed without glazing bars and have eared and shouldered architraves. The ground floor includes a tripartite projecting window on the left and a canted bay window on the right, both with panelled aprons and pierced balconies above on the first floor. The first-floor windows are adorned with pulvinated friezes and cornices. The central entrance is round-headed and features a Corinthian aedicule with a segmental pediment. This house is a well-preserved example of the properties found in the Victoria Park estate.
