Description

This house, dating from the 1860s, is part of the Victoria Park estate. It is constructed of common brick with decorative red and blue brick bands, and red, blue, and yellow brick and stone dressings. Painted plaster detailing is present on the frieze, and the eaves overhang. The building has two storeys and three bays. The ground floor features canted bay windows with stone lintels and cornices. The first-floor windows are segmental-headed and have banded brick surrounds. All windows are sash windows without glazing bars. The central entrance is round-headed, with a key and a two-panel door. Two chimney stacks are present, one with a stone cupola. A small 20th-century extension has been added to the right. The house represents a largely unaltered example of the properties built on the Victoria Park estate.
