Description
No. 44 Upper Parliament Street is a house built in the 1820s. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high with a basement and features three bays. There is a basement lintel band, a first floor sill band, and a top frieze, cornice, and blocking course. The windows have wedge lintels, with some being sashes that include vertical glazing bars and others being casements. The central entrance is framed by a panelled architrave and features a six-panel door, along with an Ionic porch. Above the entrance, there is a window with an architrave, panelled pilasters, a frieze, and a consoled cornice. The property is also equipped with iron area railings that have arrowhead designs.
