Description

Willow Cottage Restaurant is a 17th-century house located on the north side of High Street in Great Eccleston. The building is rendered and features an asbestos sheet roof over thatch, and it is 1½ storeys tall. There are windows with plain reveals on each side of the door, and above the door, there are two windows that are partly within the roof. To the left, there is a modern bow window with a door to its left, and to the right of the bow window is a chimney topped with a modern brick cap. Inside, the room accessed from the main door has two chamfered axial main joists and exposed common joists. The left-hand wall is said to contain a cruck truss, which was exposed during previous alterations but is now covered.
