Description
This is a house located at 186 Ormskirk Road in Up Holland, built in the late 19th century and altered since. It features a facade made of coursed squared sandstone rubble, with rendered gables and a brick rear. The roof is slate, hipped at the left end, and has chimneys made of yellow brick. The house is L-shaped, with a double-depth section on the left and a single-depth section on the right. It has two storeys and two windows that are almost symmetrical. There is a 20th-century glazed porch that is offset to the left of the center. The windows are sashed, with raised sills and wedge lintels, and they have early 20th-century applied lead patterns on the leaves without glazing bars. There are chimneys on the side walls. This house is part of an interesting group of buildings at Garnett Lees, which adds to its significance.
