Description

This stable or granary, located approximately 30 metres east of Sutches Farmhouse, likely dates from the late 18th century and has been altered over time. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone and features a stone slate roof. The building has a small rectangular plan oriented on a north-south axis and stands two storeys high. The east side, which is probably the rear, includes a loft doorway that is accessed by 20th-century wooden steps. This structure is part of a group that includes Sutches Farmhouse, a barn at the north end of the farmyard, and a cart shed or stable on the west side of the yard.
