House, early C18, now doctors' surgery. Probably brick, stuccoed, slate roof with one chimney on the ridge and another at the left gable. Single pile plan with extension to rear of right end. Three storeys. Somewhat irregular facade divided by bands, with 5 windows to ground floor and 4 to 1st floor (all sashes); 3 small casements to attic. Roughly central doorway has doorcase of pilasters and open pediment. Interior is extensively timber-framed (altered at ground floor) and has ovolo moulded beams on both floors; top flight of contemporary staircase remains, with string, column newel, turned balusters and moulded handrail. Said to have been dower house of Farington family of Worden Hall (q.v.).
