Description

This barn, located about 2 metres west of No. 15, dates from 1691, as indicated by the date on the lintel of its doorway. It is constructed from coursed sandstone rubble with quoins and has a corrugated sheet roof. The barn features three bays and has its gable facing the road. A notable aspect of the barn is its gable wall, which includes a blocked chamfered doorway near the left corner, a large lintel with raised lettering that reads "IS 1691," five round-headed slit breathers arranged on two levels, and a circular owl hole near the apex. The barn is listed due to its likely historical connection with No. 11.
