Description
No. 19 Hall Fold is a house, possibly originally two cottages, dated 1827 at the apex of the left gable. It is constructed of watershot coursed sandstone with a stone slate roof featuring a ridge chimney stack. The building has a shallow double-depth, two-bay plan and stands two storeys tall, with the gable facing the road. The south front, which faces the garden, has a doorway that is offset to the left of centre, with a plain surround. There is a lintel from a former doorway at the right-hand end and two stepped triple-light windows on each floor. The gable wall facing the road has a plain doorway, an inserted ground floor window, and rectangular windows at the first floor and attic. The rear wall features two windows on each floor, all of which, except for the altered window at the ground floor of the first bay, are five lights with a stepped middle light. The outer lights of the first floor window in the second bay are blocked. The apex of the left gable contains a datestone inscribed with "ESBG 1827." The interior has been altered.
