Description
The Old Parsonage is a house, possibly the original parsonage, dating from the earlier 18th century and later extended. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble with quoins and features a tiled roof with a chimney at the right gable. The building has a single-depth, two-bay end-baffle-entry plan, with an added bay set back to the left and a single-storey original porch set back at the right end.
The house is two storeys high. An inserted doorway is offset to the left of centre. To the left, there is one three-light window on each floor with chamfered mullions. To the right, there is a stepped triple-light window with a chamfered surround and mullions, and above this, a smaller similar window with what appears to be a raised sill. The masonry on the first floor is different and larger, suggesting that the walls have been raised.
The extension to the left, built with similar materials, is likely modern. The single-storey porch to the right has a stepped triple-light window, and there is a modern flat-roofed forward extension to the left. At the rear, there is a two-light fire window.
