Description
This barn, located about 20 metres north of Hough House Farmhouse, dates back to 1717, as indicated by the inscription on the lintel of the left door. It is constructed from coursed sandstone rubble with quoins and has a slate roof. The barn features three bays and is a tall structure, which may have been raised around 1880. The plain south side includes a large rectangular wagon doorway that is slightly offset to the left of centre, with long and short jambstones. There are also doors at each end, with the left end door bearing the inscription "M + 1717 1880". The interior has not been inspected. This barn is listed for its group value context.
