Description

Green Barn is a 17th-century barn located in Kings Caple. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and features a slate roof. The barn has five bays and includes a central lean-to porch on the south side. The gable ends have raised verges and were formerly topped with a decorative finial. There are oval owl holes and two rows of loops flanking the entrance, with staggered loops on the gable ends. The interior is not accessible. An inscription indicating a date of 1664 is said to be present inside, though it was not visible in autumn 1985.
