Description
This barn, located approximately 15 metres south of Love Clough Farmhouse, is likely from the early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble with quoins and features a stone slate roof. The barn has a rectangular plan, with a lean-to garage attached at the southeast corner, which is not included in the listing.
On the east side, there is a large wagon entrance in the center, while the opposed entrance has been blocked. The south gable wall includes doorways on either side with rectangular lintels, a window between them, and an inserted window at loft level. Both gables feature a triangular owl-hole at the apex and a small round-headed lancet below. Inside, the barn retains its original roof trusses and purlins.
